P&P Spotlight: DYLAN (EXCLUSIVE GALLERY)

Watch out, world - the UK's favorite "Rebel Child" has come across the pond to save pop music. DYLAN, a self-proclaimed "wannabe rockstar stuck in a pop star's body," just wrapped her opening stint for rising star GAYLE on her Scared But Trying tour. Next year, she plans to follow up with the Rebel Child tour, named for her brand new single that we can't get enough of. Playlists & Polaroids recently got the privelege to see DYLAN perform live recently - so we're super familiar with her charismatic yet chaotic stage presence, and of course, her unmatched vocal skill even against rock-influenced tracks.

Despite her versatility, DYLAN makes it clear that she means business when she performs. And not just in her ability to transition into steady, Joan Jett-esque masterpieces, like "Every Heart But Mine," from true pop bangers such as "Girl Of Your Dreams."

If you're a bit turned off by the fact that she shares her music taste with many millenials, don't be. DYLAN brings a refreshing, youthful energy that radiates in every space she performs. Case in point: her little dance moves on stage.

DYLAN's sass amplifies during the snarky, tongue-in-cheek "You're Not Harry Styles" - which she mashes up with the man's own "Kiwi." Both singers have publicly acknowledged how 80s rock heavily shapes their craft, rendering this pairing of songs that much more perfect. Her shredding on the electric guitar - which she really gets into, and it shows through her stage presence - really drives this one home.

As she prepares for her next musical era, this is a great time to dive deeper into her discography and catch her in concert if she's coming to your city, because you'll definitely be seeing more of her in the years to come. In that spirit, we've curated just the playlist for you.

YOU'LL LOVE DYLAN IF YOU LISTEN TO: Joan Jett, GAYLE, Paramore, Harry Styles, Fall Out Boy, Bastille, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Orla Gartland
